San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians Joins Opposition to SHR

The San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians has deep ancestral ties to the San Pasqual area. Previous development efforts, including an Archaeological/Historical Study of the proposed SHR site conducted in 2015, noted numerous cultural sites tied to the Kumeyaay people, specifically the San Pasqual Band. Given the breadth of cultural and biological resources documented, the San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians is opposed to large-scale development of this area, including Safari Highlands Ranch. SPVPA is eager to work with the San Pasqual Band to advocate for the ongoing preservation of this area.
